RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At CODEX BELLATORIS, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy is intended to operate in accordance with applicable Irish and European Union consumer law. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

14-DAY RIGHT TO CANCEL

If you purchase goods from us online as a consumer, you generally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason within 14 days from the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision before the 14-day cancellation period expires. You may contact us by email at codexbellatoris@gmail.com. Your communication must clearly state that you wish to cancel the contract.

After informing us of your decision to cancel, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which you informed us of your cancellation.

Please contact us before sending a return so that we can provide you with the appropriate return instructions and return address.

CONDITION OF RETURNED GOODS

You may inspect and handle the goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way that you would reasonably examine an item in a physical shop.

You are responsible for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Where possible, please return products with their original tags, labels and packaging.

RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

If you exercise your statutory right to cancel because you have changed your mind, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and retaining proof of postage until your return has been completed.

REFUNDS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION

If you validly exercise your right to cancel, we will reimburse payments received from you in respect of the cancelled purchase, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered by us, where required by applicable law.

If you chose a more expensive delivery method, such as express delivery, we are not required to reimburse the additional amount above the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.

Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to cancel. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise expressly agreed.

FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT GOODS

Your statutory consumer rights are separate from the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right described above.

If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described, or otherwise does not conform to your contract, please contact us as soon as possible at codexbellatoris@gmail.com, providing your order details and, where appropriate, photographs showing the issue.

Where goods do not conform to the contract, you may be entitled to remedies under applicable Irish and EU consumer law, which may include a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction depending on the circumstances.

Where we are legally responsible for defective or non-conforming goods, we will bear the necessary return costs as required by applicable law.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

EXCHANGES

If you require a different size or product, please contact us at codexbellatoris@gmail.com.

Where an exchange is requested simply because you have changed your mind, availability cannot be guaranteed. We may ask you to return the original product and place a new order for the replacement product.

This does not affect any rights you may have where the original product is faulty or does not conform to the contract.

PERSONALISED OR CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS

The statutory right to cancel may not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, where the applicable consumer-law exemption applies.

This exception does not remove your statutory rights where a personalised or custom-made product is faulty or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

SALE ITEMS

Sale or discounted items are not excluded from statutory consumer rights merely because they were sold at a reduced price. Where the statutory right to cancel applies, eligible sale items may be returned in accordance with this policy.
